The National Commission works under its Regulations, adopted by the Cabinet Minsters of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Structure de la Commission
The National Commission consists of the following bodies:
- The General Assembly, which meets twice a year;
- The Bureau, which meets in case of necessity;
- The Secretariat.
Membres/Composition
The Commission is composed of Ministers and Vice-Ministers for education, science, culture and communication, directors of different scientific and research institutions, rectors of national universities, directors of state museums and theaters, Director of the National Library, Chairman of the Association for Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites, Editor-in-Chief of ''Parasat'' national magazine and others.
Comité exécutif
The Bureau of the National Comission (its Executive body) meets one or two times per annum, as necessary.
Assemblée générale
The Assembly meets annually.

Description
In line with the current UNDAF for Kazakhstan, UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office launched the new two years project to strengthen the sustainability of crafts industry in Kazakhstan. The project is generously supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea through the UNESCO/Korean Fund-in-Trust. The aim is to strengthen sustainability of crafts industry in Kazakhstan, the project safeguards the traditional techniques of craftspeople and improve the quality and marketing skills of artisans through training and promotional activities with particular emphasis on craftswomen.
