Documentation CentreThe Documentation Centre of the National Commission gathers some 15 000 UNESCO publications and mainly welcomes academics, students and civil servants. The Documentation Centre is not computerized.

The Commission also mentions that the UN Agencies based in the country decided to create and finance jointly a Documentation Centre in 1998 - this Centre is located in the Place of Culture (Palacio de Cultura).
Structure of the CommissionThe National Commission meets in plenary at least twice a year. Though it has not set up any Sub-Committees, the Commission counts on a network of experts, who can provide it cooperation when necessary.
Members/CompositionThe National Commission is composed of 8 members representing the Ministries and eminent individuals from the education, science and cultural sectors.
Interaction with UNESCO and National Commissions
OverviewThe National Commission does not cooperate with other National Commissions, but has collaborated with the UNESCO Field Offices of San José (Costa Rica), the OREALC (Santiago, Chile), the CRESALC (Caracas, Venezuela) within the framework of the elaboration of plans of action of evaluation, especially in the field of education.
