The Documentation Centre holds about 4 000 books, magazines and other publications. It has publications from different UN agencies. About 2000 visitors a year are received by the Centre (students, academics, journalists, general public etc.) It is not yet computerized and is administered by all Departments and Units of the Secretariat of the National Commission.

Composed of 32 members from the National Parliament (Legislative Chamber and Senate), the relevant Ministries (including the Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, the Minister of Public Education, the Minister of Culture and Sport, the President of the Academy of Sciences, the Chairperson of the Academy of Arts, and the Chairperson of the State Agency for Communication and Information) and municipalities, professional associations, universities, NGOs and individuals.

Regular collaboration programs with National Commissions from Europe and North America, and Asia-Pacific Regions .
