DescriptionThe Conference organized within Global Action Week 2010 on "Financing Quality Education for All". There were 300 participants, representing all provinces of Uzbekistan (teachers, principals of schools, local policy makers). Experts from Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan, National Commission of Uzbekistan for UNESCO, UNESCO, UNDP, UNICEF and World Bank Offices in Uzbekistan took part in the conference with presentations. The conference provided opportunity for sharing views on the roles of all forms of education (formal, nonformal and informal) in implementation of the Dakar Framework of Action in Uzbekistan. All presentations focused on effectiveness and efficiency of quality education

DescriptionScience Museum of Astronomy was created at the Astronomical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan in Tashkent (equipment and furniture). The following activities were implemented: National Training Seminar on “Contemporary methodology of scientific studies in astronomy for post-graduates of universities (Tashkent)”; International Conference devoted to the International Year of Astronomy and 615th anniversary of Ulugbek (Samarkand); Summer Youth Educational Camp on Astronomy and Space Studies (Tashkent region); Exhibition equipment for the Museum at the Ulugbek Observatory (Samarkand). Official launching of the Science Museum on Astronomy was organized in Tashkent on 22 December 2009.

DescriptionTraining seminar was organized for teachers of ASPnet schools, policy-makers and experts of the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan. Main themes of a three-day training seminar were:
- HIV/AIDS Epidemics,
- Preventive Measures against HIV Transmissions and Drug Abuse among Youth,
- UNESCO/UNICEF FRESH Programme,
- Creating Healthy School Environment.
During the training-seminar contents of Textbooks on “Health Lessons” for Primary Schools and “Basics of Healthy Generation” for Secondary Schools were reviewed and appropriate recommendations for their further improvement were elaborated.
