Second Training for Jordanian Site Managers on the 1972 World Heritage Convention

In October 2013, the UNESCO Amman office will coordinate its follow up training for site managers of World Heritage and Tentative Lists sites in Jordan. The first part of this training was successfully implemented in September 2013 in coordination with the Department of Antiquities and the World Heritage Centre, and also included experts from IUCN, the World Monuments Fund as well as other local experts.

This second training will focus on sustainably managing development at these properties, and will include a field component focusing on development challenges as they occur in the field.

The training will again be held with the support of the World Heritage Centre and the Department of Antiquities of Jordan.
