Blended Approach to Teacher Training (BATT)

With generous funding from the Saudi Fund for Development and the European Union, the UNESCO Amman Office, in partnership with The Queen Rania Teacher’s Academy is implementing the project, “Enhancing Access to Secondary Education and Quality Results for Youth Affected by the Syria Crisis: Blended Approach to Teacher Training (BATT)”. This dynamic pilot project has been initiated in selected schools across Jordan and represents a good example of inclusive programming.

BATT promotes a combination of face-to-face and online delivery methods and teaches psycho-social support skills to teachers throughout the kingdom. Math and Science have been a key focus as they have proven problematic subjects in both their teachability and student comprehension, specifically at the secondary level. The shift in the instruction of these difficult subjects is designed to increase student engagement and better learning achievement.

BATT is contributing to improving learning outcomes for students and the quality of education in Jordan.
