Teachers shoot for the stars

More than 200 participants from across the nation collaborated together at the UNESCO Science, Mathematics and Computing Teachers’ Workshop held at the National University of Samoa.

The workshop was a partnership between the UNESCO, the Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture (MESC) and the NUS.

At the closing ceremony participant and teacher Faatoia Malele addressed the crowd and told the NUS that it was great to be back.

“So thank you NUS, thank you very much,” he said.

“May you be the stronghold of Samoa…to bring up and strengthen science."
“You must help them (the Government) to bring us up otherwise we will never build a rocket for Samoa” – he said to a rapture of laughter and applause. read more>
