Position: National Professional Officer (NPO) for Communication and Information (CI) 

Employment type: Fixed Term Appointment (FTA) 

Gross Salary: WST 66,806/Year (Net Salary: WST 53,353/Year) and annual increment subject to satisfactory performance. 

Leave: 30 days/Year Annual Leave and other leave & holidays as per the Organization’s rules. 

Benefits: Pension, and dependent child and dependent spouse allowance as per the organization’s rules.

Medical Insurance based on contribution. 

PROFILE: If you are a Samoan National who is a committed professional and want to part of the Organization leading the Goal 16.10 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development promoting peaceful and inclusive societies, ensuring public access to information and protecting fundamental freedoms, and hold technical expertise in media, communication and information, and experience in programme administration UNESCO would like to hear from you. 

PURPOSE OF THE POST: Responsible for programme and project work, research and knowledge management, networking, and supporting partnerships and resource mobilization. The incumbent will support programme management and priorities of the Cluster Office for the Pacific States, including, multisector and inter-agency programmatic activities and initiatives, monitoring and reporting for internal, UN and other external purposes in accordance with the Organizations regulations, rules and policies and the Office procedures.
