Advertisement for Consultancy

 

UNESCO is calling for consultancy for detailed damage assessment of the cultural heritage sites and historical buildings in Tongatapu Island following Tropical Cyclone Gita.

The consultants will assess damages on; i) around ten historical buildings and ii) key archaeological sites in Tongatapu island affected by Tropical Cyclone Gita in order to develop a recovery plan with Build Back Better (BBB) strategy and costed priority projects through a mission to Tonga and prepare a report.

During the course of the assignment, the consultants will be under the direct supervision of the Programme Specialist for Culture at the UNESCO Office in Apia,

Request for Proposals (RFP) should contain the following information:

-Details regarding the consultants, including curriculum vitae, referees,  past experience in this area of work, and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and the requirements of this consultancy;

-Availability;

-Elaborated description of suggested methodology and workplan;

-Proposed consultancy fee.

 

The RFP should be sent via email to Akatsuki Takahashi, Programme Specialist for Culture (a.takahashi@unesco.org) before COB 30 April 2018. UNESCO will only contact the successful bidder.
