INTERN - Education

UNESCO Beirut Regional Office is seeking a qualified intern to assist in the Education Programme.

Position Title: INTERN - Education

Department/ Office: UNESCO

Duty Station: BEIRUT

Duration: 6 months



The intern will support the work of the Education Division of UNESCO substantively and administratively. S/He will be responsible for carrying out the following:

1 - Assist in the organization of conferences, workshops, and meetings;

2 - Assist in all research-related tasks, particularly literature searches, processing and compilation of data, data analysis, technical writing, validation of information, report editing and proofreading;

3 - Develop presentation material, report summaries & fact sheets (written, tabular and visual materials) as requested;

4 - Assist in the preparation, design & implementation of all initiatives relevant to the work of the Education Division;

5 - Conduct additional ad hoc assignments as requested.



The following criteria are used to determine eligibility for the Internship Programme:

1 - Applicants are enrolled in a degree programme in a graduate school (second university degree or higher) at the time of application and during the internship;

2 - The area of study of the prospective intern is related to the functional areas of UNESCO's Education programme of work and administration.

3- For this internship, fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is required. Knowledge of French is desirable.
