Online consultation with national stakeholders Social Inclusion Policy Review 2-9 September
Building inclusive societies is a longstanding need and commitment of the international community. The UNESCO Policy Assessment Programme has developed a policy review methodology which is being tested in 9 countries including Lebanon
The assessment in Lebanon, since May 2013, has been in progress with a desk research, individual meetings and hearings with experts from governmental, non-governmental institutions and UN organizations, a series of focus-group meetings together with a short survey with a group of media experts. It focuses on assessing the policy and regulatory frameworks per se, allowing for comparative analysis of the results, and making social inclusion an over-arching goal and a core component of all government policy and planning processes.
A one week online consultation is launched to share the findings and lessons learnt of the assessment among concerned national stakeholders. The final assessment report will be available on the website of UNESCO Beirut by the end of 2013.
