On the occasion of the World AIDS Day which coincides with December 1st of every year, and within the framework of promotion of the culturally appropriate responses to HIV/AIDS, UNESCO Regional Office in Beirut has produced a song named “Leich” (Why?). The song is performed by renowned Lebanese Vocal Star “Iwan”.
Under the framework of UNESCO's Cultural programme, Cultural Responses to HIV/AIDS, this song addresses the youth in the Arab Region and speaks their language and contains specific culturally appropriate messages, which highlight the importance of awareness of this disease and the importance to address it and fight it.
