A educação infantil nos países do Mercosul: análise comparativa da legislação
This publication is a result of a study made in 2012 and 2013 with the objective of comparatively analysing the legal instruments that determine and guide the public policies on early childhood education in the country group members of MERCOSUR. Thus, it enables the creation of one more access way for regional integration and exchange of theoretical constructions, of legal advancements, of policies and practices that have been implemented in each country.
Early childhood education, as it is currently known, is a historic building that has been gaining different contours and specificities over time. This way, this study development promoted dialogue and exchange of experiences among the representatives of the Ministries of Education of the participating countries, as well as the discussion on themes that guide to mutual knowledge of each educational system. Thus, the objective is the pursuit of a common terminology possible – respecting the cultural and linguistic specificities – and comparability of progressive structures of early childhood education, empowering the countries to face the challenges of universal preschool and the attention given to children from 0 to 5 years of age.
