Debate on racial equality, gender and Jobs is hosted in Brasilia

UNESCO in Brazil, in partnership with UM Woment, ILO, UNFPA e the coordination of the UN System in Brazil, will host a debate on the difficulty faceb by afrodescendants, specially women afrondescendant, in the job market.

Racial innequality is a reality in the Brazilian job market, even though afrodescendants represent more than half of Brazilian population. The work environment still have many difficulties to advance in the fight against racism and it gets even worse when we consider black women. In this scenario, the debate "Igualdade racial: gênero, raça e mercado de trabalho"(in free translation: Racial Innequalities: gender, race and work) takes place this Thursday (06 June, 2019), from 9:30 AM tp 12:00 PM, in Brasilia, at B Hotel (SHN Quadra 5, Bloco J, Lote L).
