II Global Seminar on Linguistic Diversity, Globalization and Development

The seminar aimed at contributing to the preservation of linguistic heritage of humanity and discussing the strategic importance of languages and how they can be a factor in human, economic and cultural development.

The event will be held by UNESCO in Brazil, Linguamón – Casa de las Llengues and Fundação Roberto Marinho, on 14 December, from 9am to 7pm, at the Museu da Língua Portuguesa, in São Paulo (Estação da Luz, Praça da Luz s/nº). The opening ceremony will be held on 13 December, at 7.30pm, and will be attended by Vincent Defourny, UNESCO representative in Brazil; José Roberto Marinho, president of Fundação Roberto Marinho, and Gilberto Gil, former minister of Culture, musician and singer.Free registration through the website (in Portuguese)
