The present study elects as priority, among many important functions, that closer interaction between schools and students’ families can recover the students’ singularity seen it in a wider context. This interaction has a great impact in the educational performance of children and youth. Through this study, it could be noticed that when school improves its knowledge and understanding about its students, its communication capacity and adequacy of its pedagogical strategies increase. Consequently, it increases the chances of a successful educational work. In this sense, to conquer the families’ participation in the students’ school life should be seen as an integrated part of the education planning job. It is expected that this publication can contribute to educational professionals in Brazil to achieve the challenge committed in Dakar to offer a good-quality education for all.
