Abstract: This book presents statements on education, science and technology by renowned journalists from Brazil, as well as some international correspondents resident here. They were selected by UNESCO to represent the rich plurality of trends, positions and media by privileged persons that have access to information, contacts with diverse cultures, political and governmental parties and with the Third Sector. Their statements are, actually, testimonies in flavor of a national change of attitude toward those sectors. Most of the consensual areas are the economic and social importance of education for development, citizenship, and international competitiveness.
