Participation of Brazil in the Partners Forum, at UNESCO Headquarters

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) holds, on 11 and 12 September 2018, in its headquarters in Paris, the Partners Forum, an international meeting that bolsters the strategy of Organization of working through alliances with governments, the private sector and with bilateral and multilateral cooperation agencies. The event will allow existing and potential partners to become aware of concrete opportunities for cooperation with UNESCO.

The meeting will bring together participants from all over the world, and Brazil will have a strong representation in it: the Minister of Education, Rossieli Soares; the Communication Director of TV Globo, a UNESCO partner in the Criança Esperança Programme, Sérgio Valente; and the Director and Representative of the UNESCO Office in Brazil, Marlova Jovchelovitch Noleto, will attend the event. The Industrial Social Service (SESI), a UNESCO partner in the Project Educação Livre (Free Education, in free translation), will also represent Brazil.

In addition to the representatives from Brazil, a number of other important international partners of the Organization will present their views on UNESCO and the importance of partnership relations, as well as the added value in cooperation actions. Also are planned thematic forums on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), in which will be reported experiences developed in several countries of the world.
