Proposal on Youth and Adults Education Indicators to Latin America is discussed in Rio

Representatives of official statistics institutions and experts in Youth and Adults Education, statistics and educational information from the Ministries of Education will attend an international technical meeting in Rio de Janeiro, from 12 to 14 December.


 
The meeting was proposed by the Secretariat of Continuous Education, Literacy and Diversity (SECAD, in Portuguese) of the Brazilian Ministry of Education, and aims at outlining a proposal on Youth and Adults Education indicators to the region, in articulation with Belém Framework of Action approved during the Sixth International Conference on Adult Education – CONFINTEA VI, in 2009, and in partnership with UNESCO (UBO/OREALC.UIS), the Organization of Ibero-American States and the two major bodies in charge of official educational statistics in Brazil, namely the INEP and IBGE.
