UNESCO in Brazil organizes experience exchange between Globo and BBC

Representatives of two big companies from Brazil and the United Kingdom, respectively Globo and BBC, will meet at the headquarters of the British television, in London, this Friday, September 07, 2018, to share experiences about their social mobilization projects, the Criança Esperança and the BBC Children in Need. The meeting is organized by UNESCO in Brazil.

The Director and Representative of UNESCO in Brazil, Marlova Jovchelovitch Noleto, the Director of Communication of Globo TV, Sérgio Valente, the Director of Social Responsibility of Globo TV, Beatriz Azeredo, and the CEO of BBC Children in Need, Simon Antrobus, will discuss topics such as ways of innovating the social mobilization strategies, means to increase popular engagement and the participation of donors, and the tools and innovations recently adopted in this kind of programme. 

The meeting happens at a time when Criança Esperança, a partnership between Globo TV and UNESCO, ends its 33rd campaign and begins the preparations for the next edition. Throughout its history, the social programme has already raised over 350 million Reais (Brazilian currency) in donations that has been invested in over five thousand social projects in Brazil and benefitted more than four million children and teenagers.
