UNESCO Science Report 2010: executive summary
Portuguese version of UNESCO Science Report 2010. The report is a mirror of the world development of science. “It shows how the proliferation of digital information and communication technologies is increasingly changing the global picture," said the Director-General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova. Its objective is to present analysis on the historical sciences industry by region and serve as additional allowance for the design and evaluation of policies for science and technology in various regions of the planet. At this version, Brazil is the only country in South America to be awarded an exclusive chapter, which shows the influence and importance of the regional countries in this field. For Latin America, the paper also devotes a chapter to Cuba. Other countries that have gained specific chapters were Canada, Turkey, United States, Iran, India, China, Japan and Republic of Korea. The Portuguese version of UNESCO Science Report 2010 is composed of the Executive Summary, a CD-ROM of the full document in English and the chapter dealing exclusively on Brazil.
