29.11.12 IVth International Congress of the Latin America and the Caribbean Bioethics Network on Bioethics, Human rights and Social Inclusion
The IVth International Congress of the Latin America and the Caribbean Bioethics Network, created by UNESCO, will be held in Brasilia (Brazil) from 29 November to 1 December 2012, and focus on the theme “Bioethics, Human rights and Social Inclusion”. Experts in the field of bioethics will examine the ways in which bioethics can contribute to the development of public policies and activities in the area of life-long education which will favour the implementation of strategies oriented towards social inclusion and equity in health issues.
27.11.12 Intangible Heritage Committee to examine new inscriptions during forthcoming meeting in Paris
Paris, 26 November—Buddhist chanting of Ladakh (India), traditional weaving of straw hats (Ecuador) and Traditional violin craftsmanship in Cremona (Italy) are among approximately 60 proposals that will be examined for inclusion on the Intangible Heritage Lists during the 7th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The session will take place at UNESCO Headquarters from 3 to 7 December.

23.11.12 Manaus (Brazil) hosts meeting in preparation for the World Science Forum 2013
Registrations are open online for the 3rd Preparatory Meeting for the World Science Forum 2013. Manaus (Brazil) will be the third capital city to gather scientists, researchers, specialists of several areas and public representatives to discuss important themes connected to "Tropical diversity and Science for development”. The meeting is on 28-30 November at the National Institute for Research on the Amazon (INPA).
