11.09.09 Event on Adult Education gathers more than 700 people at UFPA, in Belem
Belém, 11/9/2009 – “Differences cannot be treated as hierarchies, but as diversity. All difference is richness”, said the Lifelong Education, Literacy and Diversity secretary of the Ministry of Education in Brazil, André Lázaro, during a discussion taken place in Belem, Pará, Brazil, on September 10, 2009. Entitled “Right to learn throughout life: challenges of diversity”, the event gathered more than 700 students, professors, teachers, researchers, and specialists of adult education at the Federal University of Para Convention Center. They attentively heard national and international specialists that mentioned all aspects of the theme. They also participated in the discussion with questions and comments.
