Regional Ecohydrology Programme in Brazil

The Ecohydrology Programme in Brazil aims to contribute to promotion of discussions on the questions that affect ecohydrology among Brazilian ecology and hydrology specialists and researchers. This is a new approach in environmental sciences that promotes the integration between hydrology and ecology for a sustainable management of water resources.

In Brazil, it is an initiative of the partnership between COBRAPHY (Brazilian Commission for the International Ecohydrology Programme), ABRH (Brazilian Association of Water Resources), Research Center in Limnology, Ictiology and Aquicultre of the State University of Maringa, UNESCO Natural Sciences Unit in Brazil, UNESCO Regional Office in Montevideo, and Steering Advisory Committee of UNESCO Ecohydrology Programme.
