The UNESCO Office in Brussels welcomed some 40 members of the organization VIRA

On 25 March, the UNESCO Liaison Office and Representation to the European Union welcomed some 40 members of the organization VIRA in the UN House in Brussels, for a lunch lecture. The topic of this lecture was the work of the UN in Brussels, and more specifically the work of UNESCO.

The speakers for the event included Antonio Vigilante, the Director of UNDP in Brussels and the UN secretary-general’s Representative to the European Institutions, Marie Paule Roudil, UNESCO Representative to the EU, and Prof. dr. Marc Vervenne, President of the Flemish Commission for UNESCO. The members of the organization VIRA are all policy and company leaders, academics and former diplomats who regularly exchange views on international issues, during these monthly lunch lectures
