“Develop a Global Consciousness: Thinking and Learning for the 21st Century”.

The elaboration of a roadmap on global consciousness is an urgent need. It is imperative to think about and succeed not only in adopting a broader world view, but also in aiding the young women and men in adopting such a view that enables children and youth to “think about the world” and to find and shape their place in it. To overcome national fixations, ethnic narrow narratives and instrumental ways of perceiving the world, and to redefine our relationship with nature, is the goal of the development of a global consciousness, recognizing the multiplicity of world views and cultural identities. The objectives of the project are to:

• raise consciousness in various settings, particularly in teaching, but also in centers of decision making (political as well as economic); 
• develop tools and workshop settings that are suitable to anchor the overall goal of developing a global consciousness which shapes the way in which both women and men think, relate and approach problems.
