Call for Applications: Expert Review of the International Centre for Underwater Archaeology (ICUA)
UNESCO is welcoming applications from independent expert reviewers to assess the International Centre for Underwater Archaeology (ICUA), based in Zadar, Croatia. The successful applicant will conduct a review of the ICUA Centre, including a desk-based assessment, a visit to the Centre and interviews with relevant stakeholders, in particular in the region and in UNESCO Headquarters (Paris) and the UNESCO Venice Office. The review process should result in a comprehensive and useful review report.
Applicants are required to have the following qualifications:
- At least 7 years of professional experience in research and/or capacity-building in the field of cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue, cultural heritage, cultural policy or culture and development;
- At least 7 years of professional experience in policy and programme evaluation in the context of international development;
- Fluency in English (written and spoken), other languages, in particular Croatian, of advantage;
- Knowledge of the role and mandate of UNESCO and its programmes.
Applications should be submitted no later than 1 December 2014 (midnight Paris time) to Ms Chihiro Nishikawa (c.nishikawa(at)unesco.org). The final review report shall be completed no later than 15 February 2015.
