Launch of Elimu Educational TV Channel and Portal in Kenya
The first Community Free to Air TV Channel in Kenya is an OER initiative. Television, mobile and web learning will be used to enable access to quality education for all. The primary target of the programme is youth out of school and non-formal schools that experience challenges with assuring access to education. The portal will offer content to secondary schools that have computer labs but lack digital content. The Web Portal will make Open Educational Resources available to out of school youths in Kenya.
