Documentary heritage submitted for inclusion in the Memory of the World Register in 2012.
The manuscripts are evidence of the acculturation process of indigenous peoples to the Western world. The conquest of Mexico mainly covered the central area of what is now Mexico. The documents show how the inhabitants of this area adapted to the Spanish world and the new institutions, which represented a new way of life.
