Media Accountability System

Venezuela does not have figures from outside the government that encourage media organizations and journalists to respect the ethical rules set by the profession. Press Councils, Media Ombudsmens and Code of Ethics are unutilized concepts and much needs to be done to encourage the development of these forms of self-regulation.
