Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma
The Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma, a project of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, is dedicated to informed, innovative and ethical news reporting on violence, conflict and tragedy.
Whether the topic is street crime, family violence, natural disaster, war or human rights, effective news reporting on traumatic events demands knowledge, skill and support. The Dart Center provides journalists around the world with the resources necessary to meet this challenge, drawing on a global, interdisciplinary network of news professionals, mental health experts, educators and researchers.The Dart Center’s website provides timely articles, expert interviews, journalist-to-journalist advice, tipsheets and other resources. The website also serves as a multimedia venue for discussion of controversies and breakthroughs in trauma science, policy and media coverage.
Global Network for Women in News Media - International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF)
Founded in 1990, the International Women' s Media Foundation is a vibrant global network dedicated to strengthening the role of women journalists as a way to further worldwide freedom of the press. IWMF programs cultivate women leaders, pioneer newsroom change and honor the courage of women reporters.
International Freedom of Expression Exchange (IFEX)
Through the Action Alert Network of its members, IFEX reports on free expression abuses and circulates this information to interested organizations all over the world.

Organization of News Ombudsmen (ONO)
ONO is a nonprofit corporation with an international membership of active and associate members formed in 1980. It maintains contact with news ombudsmen worldwide, and organizes annual conferences, held in a member's city, for discussion of news practices and a wide range of issues connected with ombudsman work.
Women News Network (WNN)
Women News Network, founded in 2006, is dedicated to bringing you in-depth international women’s news not found in our current public media stream. WNN news stories have appeared on UN affiliate and agency publications through WUNRN – Women’s UN Report Network and UN-INSTRAW, the United Nations Institute of Training and Research for the Advancement of Women.
