Journal of the Eritrean Medical Association was published in 2006-2009. The journal aims were to publish and disseminate scientifically rigorous health information of Eritrean and international significance that enables policy makers, researchers, and practitioners to be more effective in the improvement of the health of Eritrean people. The journal provided immediate Open Access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
