Researchers from Seychelles publish articles in international Open Access journals, for example 14 articles have been published with BioMed Central – an STM (Science, Technology and Medicine) publisher which has pioneered the Open Access publishing model – by researchers from Ministry of Health and Social Development, Island Conservation Society, Nature Seychelles and Ministry of Arts, Culture and Sports.

Two articles have been published in Public Library of Science (PLoS) international Open Access journals: PLoS ONE, and PLoS Medicine by researchers from Island Conservation Society and Ministry of Health and Social Services.
