Iberoamerican Network of Digital Libraries and Repositories (Red Iberoamericana de Bibliotecas y Repositorios Digitales)

To address the needs identified in the region, among which are: open access information policies at institutional, national and regional level; definition of common strategies; design and development of indicators; international visibility and sharing best practices, an agreement was signed among several organizations at BIREDIAL Conference (Bogota, 9-11 May 2011), in support of the creation of an Iberoamerican Network of Digital Libraries and Repositories under the philosophy of open access, based in CoLaBoRa and other similar experiences.

This initiative was signed by the following initial participants:
