International Grand Prix for Author’s Documentary: Call for programmes
The International Radio and TV Union (URTI) organizes, with the support of UNESCO and the entirety of the international audiovisual organizations, the 31st International TV Grand Prix. 223 documentaries were selected in competition by 140 channels representing 81 countries for the 2011 edition.
The International Grand Prix for Author's Documentary takes place every June in the context of the prestigious Monte-Carlo TV Festival, organized by the Principality, which is ideally suited to showcase the event. In television, the International URTI Grand Prix enjoys a great renown thanks to an important participation and to selected programmes of quality. Each television channel can register for free one or two documentaries.
Following the pre-selection, 10 finalists will be considered by the Jury at the Television Festival in Monte-Carlo from 9 to 11 June 2012. The Jury is culturally and geographically representative and chaired by an internationally recognized personality. Jorge Semprun, Juliette Gréco, Frédéric Mitterand, Federico Mayor, Yehudi Menuhin were among Presidents of URTI’s Jury.
