Women contributing to developpment: Sixth dossier of jeunessearabe.info portal

UNESCO's jeunessearabe.info web portal is dedicating its sixth dossier on the topic: Women as a Vector of Development. The topic has been chosen in the context of the celebrations of International Woman's Day, 8 March.

The on line dossier, written by the association Al Michaal of Rabat, Morocco, aims at presenting the situation of women in Morocco and their potential and challenges to contribute to the development of the country.

The forum of the web portal hosts a discussion on this topic from 8 March to 8 April 2007. Young people and youth associations from countries in the Arab region are invited to take part in this forum to express their point of view about AIDS and related issues. Languages of the discussion are Arabic, French and English.

Created in 2004 within the frame of a joint programme initiative of UNESCO and ISESCO, the jeunessearabe.info portal aims to contribute to reply to the information need of young people and youth associations in the Arab world. This portal is part of UNESCO's INFOYOUTH programme, a worldwide information network on youth issues.
