The UNESCO Chair in Arts and Learning was established in 2007 at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

The main purpose of the Chair is to promote an integrated system of research, training, information and documentation in the Arts Education field with a focus on teacher training and to facilitate collaboration between high-level researchers and teaching staff of the University and other institutions in Canada and elsewhere in other regions.

The Chair is currently contributing to the preparations of the 2nd World Conference on Arts Education (Seoul, May 2010) through the annual organization of the "Candian Arts and Learning Symposium".
