MY DECLARATION ON CULTURAL DIVERSITY

In September 2011, UNESCO launched this international contest : "If you are 18 to 24 years old, take the challenge ! Use your creativity and express your personal vision of cultural diversity through a short video based on the UNESCO 2001 Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity!"
The international jury for "My Declaration", has awarded the first prize to Mr. Evgeny Tarasov, a 24-year old Russian student, for his video "Around the world in one day”.The judges cited the video’s "simplicity, humor and interpretation”, its theme, and its "rhythm", in making their decision.
A "Special Public Mention" for the video that earned the highest number of votes went to 21 year-old Mr. Sistos Moreano Jorge from Mexico for his video "Diversity is the other".
The winning video will be broadcast as a promotional tool of the principles set out in the UNESCO 2001 Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity. (More on the press-release)
