Second national workshop on capacity-building and raising awareness on the fight against illicit trafficking cultural objects

Muscat, Oman, 19-22 May 2014

Following the capacity-building training workshop organized in Muscat in February 2013, UNESCO HQ, the UNESCO Office in Doha and the Ministry of Heritage and Culture in Oman are jointly organizing a second national workshop in Muscat from 19 to 22 May 2014.

As a part of its National Programmes, the Ministry of Heritage and Culture of the Sultanate of Oman, and specifically the Direction General of Archaeology and Museums, is involved as co-organizer of this workshop.

The UNESCO's partners in the fight against the illicit trafficking of cultural property (INTERPOL, UNIDROIT, UNODC and WCO) are also associated with this workshop.
