Euromed Heritage 4

Euromed Heritage 4 (2008-2012) was a programme funded by the European Union to promote exchanges and channels for disseminating best practices as well as new perspectives for the development of a cultural institutional environment at national and regional levels.

In collaboration with UNESCO Secretariat and UNESCO Field Office in Beirut, a workshop was organized to compare existing legislation and specialized services in partner countries with the norms established by major international conventions such as the Hague Convention of 1954, the UNESCO Convention of 1970, and the UNIDROIT Convention of 1995, as well as with the codes of ethics for the management of private or museum collections, and the trade in cultural properties (Codes of ICOM and UNESCO).
