The Meeting of the States Parties to the 1970 Convention is the sovereign body of the Convention.

Mandate
The Meeting of States Parties provides strategic orientations for the implementation of the Convention and takes all measures it deems necessary for the promotion of the objectives of the Convention.

Rules of Procedure
The Rules of Procedure of the Meeting of States Parties have been adopted during the Second Meeting of States Parties in June 2012.
