International Training Programme for Underwater Archaeologists. From 19 September to 28 October 2011 in Cartagena, Spain.
This training, organized by UNESCO, will take place in the Spanish National Museum for Underwater Archaeology (ARQUA) and a nearby submerged archaeological site.
The course is addressing participants professionally working in the field of underwater archaeology and conservation. Participants should therefore either be underwater archaeologists or have any other appropriate training and work in the field of underwater cultural heritage protection.
The training will be practical with theoretical components. It will allow the acquisition of practically applicable knowledge in underwater archaeology and foster the cooperation between the international participants. Teachers will be reputed specialists in underwater archaeology, conservation and the law. The teaching will be in Spanish and French language.
