“O que é o Património Cultural Subaquático” / “What is the Underwater Cultural Heritage”

The brochure “O que é o Património Cultural Subaquático” (“What is the Underwater Cultural Heritage”) was launched on the 25th of October. It defines Underwater Cultural Heritage and explains the importance of the 2001 Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage, including ongoing cooperation between States Parties, and highlights cases specific to Portugal.

The publication was made possible through the cooperation between the Portuguese Commission for UNESCO / Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Defense – National Maritime Authority, the Naval School and Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa – Centro de História d´Aquém e d´Alem-Mar (CHAM).
