The Human Story of a War at Sea

For the upcoming Centenary of World War I UNESCO prepares a publication on World War I wrecks called “The Human Story of a War at Sea”.
The book will be addressing the public at large and mix accounts of the human experience of the naval war with information on the related underwater cultural heritage. It will also give scientific information on the wreck sites and their preservation.
The goal of the book is to inform about submerged heritage from World War I, achieve its better protection, but also to touch the reader by concrete individual destinies related to the wrecks and make this submerged heritage a convincing call for peace.
