Country profiles to measure Africa's progress towards Education for All by 2015

UNESCO's Regional Office in Dakar is publishing a series of country profiles to assess how far African countries have progressed towards the six Education for All goals by 2015.

"The objective of these profiles is to give countries a clear idea of the challenges they face in education," says Zulmira Rodrigues, Coordinator of Education in UNESCO Dakar. "The profiles will make it easier for countries to set priorities for the next couple of years to get closer to the achievement of the six Education for All goals". 

Country profiles have been prepared for all African countries except Somaila, South-Sudan and Zimbabwe because of lack of available statistics.
