Launch of Global Monitoring Report on Education for All 2012 in Dakar (29 Oct 2012)
The Global Monitoring Report on Education for All 2012 will be launch in Dakar, Senegal, on 29 October 2012 during a round table.
Under the patronage of the Minister of Youth, Vocational Training and Employment, Mr. Aly Koto Ndiaye, the meeting will bring together stakeholders from Senegal involved in youth training and employment, as well as young people from technical and vocational training institutions.
The discussion is informed by the results of the Global Report, which will be presented to participants and the press during the event.
The launch will also include testimonies from a female entrepreneur and a young graduate struggling to find her way into the work force.
The Global Monitoring Report on Education for All 2012 focuses on link between education and work. It highlights the necessity to improve young people's competencies through quality education. It also demonstrates how skills development programmes offer young people opportunities to find decent jobs and improve their living conditions.
The launch takes place at UNESCO Dakar (BREDA) from 9 am - 1 pm.
