Ioana Corina Parlea

Ioana Corina Parlea has developed a long and successful career in UNESCO since 1972. From 1972 to 1996 she worked as assistant to Director of the UNESCO European Centre for Higher Education (CEPES), located in Bucharest, Romania. In 1996 she moved to UNESCO’s Division of Higher Education in Paris, first as assistant to Senior Programme Specialist in Educational Sciences and later as assistant to Chief of the Section for Teacher Education. In 2008 she was promoted to assistant to Director of the Division of Higher Education, a function which she performed until December 2010.

Since December 2010 she has assumed a new function - that of assistant to Director, Education Research and Foresight (ED/ERF).

Qualifications:
Ioana Corina Parlea holds a secondary-school leaving diploma, as well as a post-secondary secretarial studies diploma.
