Ulrika Peppler Barry

Ulrika joined UNESCO in 1990 to work on innovations in basic education, following which she was involved in the organization of the World Education Forum held in Dakar in 2000, and then became the Team Manager of the EFA Global Monitoring Report 2002-2008.  Prior to that she worked with UNICEF and before that as a history teacher in Sweden.

Responsibilities

Ulrika heads the knowledge management services in the Education Sector which champions efficient Sector-wide information sharing, reflection and debate;  helps staff create and share knowledge and act upon information in ways that measurably improve the performance of the Sector and its partners ; and manages Sector information and knowledge resources; the Education web portal, the intranet, the publications services, knowledge events, and the Knowledge Centre.

Qualifications

University degree in History and a Master in Education.
