Great Volga River Route Project (2004-2007)
Uniting 16 countries situated along the Great Volga River Route, the Baltic, Black and Caspian Seas, rich in natural and cultural heritage, this cross-cutting and inter-sectoral UNESCO project aims to link young people.
During the four-year implementation of the project (2004-2007), it explored and developed the effective use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to improve quality education and best practices on education for sustainable development and world heritage. It also served as a concrete contribution to the UN Decade for Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014) and facilitated the dialogue between young people and the scientific community.
