Background

In 2003, UNESCO entered into a partnership with Daimler, one of the world’s largest automobile companies, to promote intercultural dialogue amongst young people through the Mondialogo School Contest, the Mondialogo Engineering Awards and the Mondialogo Internet Portal.  

At the outset, in order to launch the Mondialogo School Contest, the UNESCO Bureau of Strategic Planning turned to ASPnet for guidance and support at the practical application level, to encourage intercultural dialogue among schools worldwide.
