The United Nations system.

As the UN agency with a special mandate in education, UNESCO cooperates with a large number of UN agencies to meet education needs worldwide, in the framework of the Millennium Development Goals and the Education for All goals.

UNESCO works with the five multilateral institutions which organized the World Conference on Education for All in Jomtien, Thailand in 1990 and the World Education Forum in Dakar, Senegal in 2000: UNESCO, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), UNICEF and World Bank.

Other cooperation with United Nations agencies includes:

International Labour Organization for the improvement of working and employment conditions for teachers and for the inter-agency Global Task Force on Child Labour and Education with UNICEF, World Bank, UNDP and other organizations.

World Food Programme for providing school meals

UNESCO also participates in the Delivering as One pilot initiative.
