UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education gives keynote speech at Cuban University Congress

Qian Tang, UNESCO’s Assistant Director-General for Education gave a keynote speech on “Higher Education and Sustainable Development” Thursday 16 February at the plenary session of the International University Congress 2012 (13-17 February) at the Havana Convention Centre.

During his stay in Cuba, Qian Tang held meetings with Education
Minister Ena Elsa Velasquez, and with Higher Education Minister Miguel
Diaz-Canel.
In addition, he visited the University of Havana and a UNESCO Associated School in the Cuban capital.
